Misty reflections

Rich autumn colours with pools of gold;

The mist wrapped tenderly around the trees like a warm scarf

While they admire their perfect reflections;

The pastel clouds rising up to greet the blue hour of a new day.

Have you ever seen a more delicious sunrise?

  1. No, I have not, this one takes my breath away. I guess that is the reward for living way up north – the sun makes up in beauty for all the days it is absent.;)
    Incredible photography as always.

  2. Now that is stunning. I wonder if you try to paint these photos or enlarge them and frame them as art in your home? I would.

  4. The photo makes me gasp in appreciation, Fi. You are very lucky to have seen it in person. The sun is rising in the water simultaneously as does in the sky.

  6. Oh Lady Fi!!! As I clicked over to your blog, and your header shows most recent pictures, this was the picture that greeted me and I swear to you I thought, “Oh, who’s that by?” (meaning, “I’m not familiar with that artist, he/she is spectacular!”)

    I honestly thought it was a painting, it so perfect and dreamy. It looks like the world passed through an artist’s brush, and rendered without flaw.

    Jeez oh Petes, I honestly can’t think of a nicer compliment about a picture: You captured the world in such a way that it seemed almost too perfect to be real…and then the astonishment when I realized, “Wait, that’s the world. That’s OUR world!!”

    Well done, perfectly done indeed!

    1. I’m bowled over by your kind kind comments. Really – the picture is hardly enhanced at all – it really was this beautiful in real life.

      I was so lucky to capture this moment of pure magic!

  7. I was so struck by the beauty that I failed to comment a few days ago. Not so surprising, really — between your words and the image you captured, I’m still not sure what to say. Perhaps “Thank you!”

  8. It’s absolutely beautiful! Well captured, and lucky you for being there to see it!

    Also – happy birthday to Oscar – just a week late. He’s almost a year older than Lucy.
