Golden moments

Living in that childish wonder is a most beautiful feeling – I can so well remember it. There was always something more – behind and beyond everything – to me, the golden spectacles were very, very big.

  1. It’s not always easy to live in childish wonder these days, but I never stop trying! And your marvelous photo of a breathtaking, golden moment is one of the things that bring me to a place of childish wonder! And this was one day that the lift was most greatly appreciated! You do spread the joy and I’m so glad I found your blog! Have a lovely weekend, my friend!

What a precious gift of beauty it must have been to experience that sunrise (sunset?). It is a joy to wake up to the photo today, since we are grey on grey and continual rain where I live.

  18. Yes, I do wish I had my childhood eyes again. So quickly we grow out of them into our adult, busy eyes. A beautiful soothing reminder.

  27. This quote and your picture funnily enough reminds me of the line from Wordsworth in Intimations of Immortality where he’s talking about just this subject : “we come trailing clouds of glory…”. Happy Friday.
