The cusp between winter and spring is a pendulum swinging backwards and forwards.
Clouds gently lit by golden light.. now warm, now cold. Frosty ears and cold fingers in the morning exchanged for abandoned coats and sweaty feet in the afternoon.
Ice melting, birds twittering, fresh flurries of new snow.
Winter is very nearly over.
Roofs peppered with snow …
Give way to blue skies and merry red tiles. And, of course, a delight of bird song.
