Interior dog monologue (at the height of winter in February)…
Frodo thinks to self:
Does it look as if I’m having fun in this snow blizzard?
In fact, which dog in his right mind would enjoy the gale force wind and the lashing snow?
…
…
Oh, that’s right…

My dad, Oscar!
For warmer pets, please visit: Camera Critters!
Dogs just love romping in snow. It must be hard containing Oscar when he’s so used to running free. Our Jenna is on restricted exercise but she can play in the water now it’s (slightly) warmer and the ponds aren’t frozen.

Great shots! Your dog is adorable! My golden retriever likes to play in the snow. She likes to bury her face and run around like a crazy person. 🙂

For the first few days of the snow here back in January both bichons got very excited and jumped about playing away in the garden. After a while though it was hard to even get them outside it had turned so cold. Although our ‘so cold’ is probably like your springtime 🙂

We put our cats in the snow a couple of months ago…..they both just looked at their feet, looked at us and then did the same kind of dance as the Dune Gecko where it raises two legs in the air at the same time to minimise contact. They were not impressed!!

How FUN to see Frodo enjoying this outing. Sorry your other dog needs to be leashed while he recovers. I’m not sure how Molly would manage being unable to run. Loved the horses too. Thanks for sharing 😉

You’ve inspired me to take some recent pictures of my little guy.
Although I’d prefer the no snow look. We were suppose to get some this past weekend, but it rained instead.

I am shocked there is still so much snow where you live. I don’t think my rat terrier would know what to do in the snow.

Beautiful Dog. They don’t mind snow for some reason. My dog is a hunting dog and he would rather go out for a walk in the worst weather than not go at all. Me, give me a warm fire and a cup of cocoa and a big window to look out. And a dog at my feet.

Oh my goodness, I think dogs are the perfect creatures to photograph when you want to capture both the art of being perfectly still, but having every hair suggest movement and energy. Look at that pose in the first one! He looks like he’s just about to come sailing out of my computer screen, demanding a game of fetch!
“Is that a stick? It looks like a stick. You’vegotastick! Iknowyouhaveastick! Let’s play fetch, NOW!”
