Proper photographer’s attire?

Last weekend saw me up bright and early – as usual.

An exotic glow from outside attracted my attention as I flung open the windows to greet the dawn. It was the startling pinkness of the sky above – and the soft reflected pink below – turning the snow into a glowing jewel. In fact, the snow looked as delicious as the pink underbellies of the clouds above.

Armed with a nightie, dressing gown, boots and my camera, I rushed outside to try to capture the glory of that morning.

The translucency of light at the horizon became a gorgeous pink that made spirits soar – even if they were only clothed in pajamas at minus 19 C at 6.15 on a Sunday morning.

Oh, the things I do for you, dear readers!

  10. I still can’t imagine what it must be like to have to suffer such cold temperatures. This past winter – when I have taken the girls out for their evening walk and it has been about -1, that to me is the coldest that cold can ever be. What must it feel like to live where you do? Is there a state where one is so cold that one doesn’t notice it getting even colder?

We get these pink sky´s/clouds sometimes too, but rarely am I up to “click” them! 🙂

I think proper attire involves anything that does not lead to an arrest.

  17. I love the pink sky, seldom do we see them here though I’ve seen it like once or twice in some parts of Asia…so I guess your skies are almost similar in that part of the world. Thanks for showing these photos. You have a nice blog.
