Working on ice

The ice started rumbling and shaking…

What was going on?

Even the dogs had a quick peek in mid-gallop.

It was the man with one of the best jobs you can have when it’s winter:

Driving a motorbike all day long and getting paid for it.

Yes – it’s the snow plough making the ice smooth for all the skaters!

And my, just look at the glorious view he has from his seat of work.

No wonder he’s out on the lake every day polishing the ice.

  1. Oh, how gorgeous!! Does take my breath away — I know it’s cold and inconvenient, but since I’m sitting here in Seattle where it’s no where near that cold, I can enjoy the beauty! Have a great week, my friend — you and the doggies!

  2. It is so beautiful it takes your breath away. We had snow yesterday and I was thinking wouldn’t it be grand if the streets were paved white instead of black!

  3. It looks absolutely beautiful from where I’m sitting (which is nice and warm in my dining room with the fire roaring) but I’m quite sure that I would not find it quite so beautiful if I was in the middle of it and freezing my butt off!!

  5. Wow ! that’s a lot of snow ! We are poor orphans against you and our snow is all gone by now. I can’t wait that the days get warmer and spring moves in ! But that’s a little early, probably we will also get snow again.

  7. These are just gorgeous pics. I have to go to your profile now to have a clue where they might have been taken. I miss snow. Moved to Houston a few years ago… hope to move away and back where there’s 4 seasons soon.
