Waters of wonder

New Year’s Eve: so mild that it was warm enough for swimming

In the pink sunset.

Dogs - -sunset copy

Reminding me that it’s always good to jump into the waters of wonder.

Because once you’ve experienced new things, your mind can never go back to its old dimensions.

Only then can you really appreciate the true beauty

Of the setting sun.

  85. What a beautiful final gift to you from 2013! Amazing to see the lake in an unfrozen state at the end of December! Our friends from England spent Christmas in northern Finland and said it was unusually warm there, too.

I was wondering who Oscar’s new friend is, and gleaned from the comments that she is Ruby and that she’s his relative! I will have to explore your older posts and read her introduction! How fun for Oscar to have youthful company to share his adventures! :-)

Happy New Year, Fiona – looking forward to another year of your beautiful words and photos!
