Golden bowl

The longest day (and shortest night)

Threw the sun against

The golden bowl of the sky

Golden 1 copy

And wrapped up the lake

In ribbons of cloud.

Golden 2

Gone half past ten at night

And still light.

An infinity of reflected beauty.

I love the tranquility that just washes over me from your photos – just the barest of ripples on that water, and I’ve officially run out of superlatives for your skies. :-)

  70. Lovely night shots. Our sunsets get to be 9:30ish, but I can’t imagine it still being light at 10:30. Or light all the time 24 hours a day like it can be far enough north. Do you get some darkness? Or are you that far north that it stays that way all night?

    June 29, 2013 at 00:33
