How beautiful. The sun is precious.
January 31, 2013 at 13:01
I’m with you! There is such beauty in the winter landscape, and when the sun makes an appearance, the world turns magical.
January 31, 2013 at 13:21
Perfect Title! Magical images!
January 31, 2013 at 13:37
I love the way you think. I’ve admired ice covered trees for years but didn’t see them as chandeliers until now.
January 31, 2013 at 13:40
I love the trees covered in snow or frost when the sun shines on them…they do glitter like a chandelier.
January 31, 2013 at 13:52
Just wonderful !
January 31, 2013 at 13:56
Sooo lovely…. Pups always love a bit of vitamin D from the sunshine even if it does entail lying in the snow to get it.
January 31, 2013 at 13:58
wow…those icy trees are just gorgeous…now that you say it they do look like chandeliers….smiles….have a wonderful day!
January 31, 2013 at 14:12
Your photos are like a balm to my eyes right now. I was just reading the latest chapter of Zadie Smith’s novel NW at work during my lunch hour and something happens to a dog. And… well, I can’t put it into words. It made me very upset. It’s also very well written, probably why I got so upset. It’s a relief to see your dog playing in the snow!
Greetings from London.
January 31, 2013 at 14:19
You’re dog is awesome. Simply awesome. I love how he/she is a standard in your shots. I love it.
Sunbathing dog…lol. Funny.
Crystal Chandeliers, indeed.
January 31, 2013 at 14:20
Looks as if Mother Nature painted the trees with icing….
January 31, 2013 at 14:35
exquisite .. i posted a snow shot today but its from years and years so .. no snow here yet .. and no, i am not complaining!
January 31, 2013 at 14:59
And Oscar likes it more than you do.
January 31, 2013 at 15:05
Fiona, thank you for sharing your paradise. Much appreciated.
January 31, 2013 at 15:16
Wow!! The frost on your trees, is just amazing!! I love it!!!
January 31, 2013 at 15:18
Your trees are dressed in white lace! !
January 31, 2013 at 15:34
Impressive … I like frozen branches on blue sky.
January 31, 2013 at 15:39
It’s absolutely Beautiful Fiona. In my little African mind I always associate blue skies with shimmering heat, not with this kind of cold beauty.
January 31, 2013 at 15:40
Is that real sun? Real, true sun? Wow, then all the cold is totally worth it.
January 31, 2013 at 15:58
What a perfect title.
These are wonderful, especially against that gorgeous blue sky.
Happy day to you!
January 31, 2013 at 16:06
Beautiful images of frost
January 31, 2013 at 16:12
Just glistening! Beautiful images in this winter season the country is having right now. Love the contrast with the green and white trees side by side. BTW…thank you for your comforting words on the memorial post this morning it is so appreciated.
January 31, 2013 at 16:21
Beautiful… I love seeing those ‘glistening’ trees… AND–that blue sky is awesome. That doggie loves snow so much!!!! SO do I…..
That truly is paradise! Nature is so pristine in the winter.
January 31, 2013 at 16:25
Gorgeous, clear winter skies and Oscar is undoubtedly enjoying a great nap in the snow!! A paradise indeed!! You are surrounded by so much beauty! Hope your week is going well!
January 31, 2013 at 16:41

January 31, 2013 at 16:45
Lovely lacy captures!
January 31, 2013 at 16:49
It does look like Paradise! Most people aren’t lucky enough to have ‘crystal chandeliers’ in their very own yard (or, in fact, lucky enough to SEE them there in the first place and talented enough to share them with the rest of us!) Thanks.
January 31, 2013 at 16:54
These are absolutely gorgeous. Chandeliers is a very appropriate description. The colors are amazing.

Love the snow shots, the first one in particular the composition of the tracks and the sun bathing dog! I am wondering what camera you are using.
But appreciate that it is your eye for the subject that counts! Thanks for the nice automatic detail filler below!

February 4, 2013 at 01:17
Just plain stunning!
Skywatch will continue. Alan of Yogi’s Den is good with doing the regular posting and creating the linking hub with Inlinkz. He’s a great person, so this is good news. I will be in the background as necessary.
My dad took a fall last week, and a few other family matters engulfed me, so it was time to make good on my longtime promise to myself to leave this in someone else’s hands.
February 4, 2013 at 03:19
Fi, that first picture was lovely. I will use it as wallpaper on my computer for a while – Dave
