Oh – those dizzy birds!
They rose in formation
And took off like sleek feathered jet planes.
Round and round they flew -
Not sure if they were coming or going.
(Don’t we all have days like that?)
After a while, they landed
Feeling a little wobbly on their feet.
But ready to try again another day.
For more dizzy creatures, please visit: Camera Critters.

Wonderful shot of the geese taking off! I guess a few geese are still hanging around for a while! (And, yes, I have many days that I wonder if I’m coming or going.)

Gorgeousness!
Aren’t you a little bit scared of them? They are really really big
November 5, 2011 at 15:54
I never get too near them as they are huge! But they seem more scared of me than I am of them.
November 5, 2011 at 15:57
Beautiful formation. They must be happy because they can fly through beautiful nature things.

November 5, 2011 at 16:38
Just saw a formation of geese (Swedish) flying in a southern direction… isn’t it a bit late in the year for that? Do they know something about the impending winter that we don’t?
November 5, 2011 at 16:50
It’s been very very mild here, so there are still a few geese left on our lake!
November 5, 2011 at 18:10
Beautiful photos. I love the light you have achieved, especially in the latter. Greetings.

Sweet….
When we lived in Colorado for years, the countryside was ‘loaded’ with Canadian Geese. I miss them….they’re not this far south.
I can almost hear them ‘honking’. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous photos.
Off the Pier…shadows is my link, if you’d care to view.
Have a great day.

I was wondering where all the Canada’s went from our duck pond. And now I know they have flown over to see you.
Tired aren’t they?

Beautiful birds and take off:-)
Hope you have a nice weekend!
November 6, 2011 at 17:29
It must be wonderful to see ducks in flight. It wouldn’t happen here in the city……. except on one occasion when 5 small ducks flew down the bottom of my garden. Obviously escaped from the city farm! They took off again quite quickly.

Ha, the wobbly feet one is priceless!
November 6, 2011 at 22:26
Ah, and watching them on the river last week, they would startle and take off in a flurry as if I was there to do them harm… only to land 50 yards downriver where they’d repeat the action all over again. I thought, “How silly of them!” but then I caught myself thinking, “Don’t I do the same?”
November 7, 2011 at 01:33
Oh, how I’d love to see a flock of them like this! So cool!
November 7, 2011 at 01:44
