Worth trying to attain, that’s for sure! (I’m still amazed at the colors on your pond.)

If they’re contagious, then I guess I must be immune! LoL! =)
Fantabulous capture… love the lighting & color

Ducks can casually stand for long periods of time on one foot. Ducks can swim in ice water and don’t seem to get cold feet. Ducks are smart enough to go to warmer places when the weather turns rotten on October. Ducks can do a lot of things I can’t. I envy they confidence, wisdom, grace and balance. Gorgeous photo!
July 30, 2011 at 20:14
Ha, at least I have their waddle down!
July 30, 2011 at 21:14
Ooh, were they feeling a chill in the air or was it just that their feet were aching??
July 30, 2011 at 21:52
Colour balance perfect my friend.

They are also self-perpetuating!
July 30, 2011 at 23:56
Lovely shot and words!
July 31, 2011 at 00:32
Lovely, lovely colors. Ducks are always fun to watch whether standing on one leg or dunking in the water! Cheers!~db PS. I started my new job right away. No waiting around!
July 31, 2011 at 02:19
this is marvelous!
July 31, 2011 at 03:31
Yes, but if the duck falls in the water it bounces. Newberys, famously, sink like a stone.
July 31, 2011 at 04:30
Such lovely colors! The photo is very serene.
July 31, 2011 at 04:36
Just beautiful. Though I often remind myself that no matter how serene they look on the water, their little legs are going hell for leather out of sight. Deceivers all.
An amazing photo as always.
July 31, 2011 at 04:38
I’m not sure I could do that, but it makes a great picture.
July 31, 2011 at 05:22
Love it!
Wonderful shot!
July 31, 2011 at 06:17

July 31, 2011 at 07:11
if only we can balance like that. It is so funny , your ducks are resting their opposite leg.
July 31, 2011 at 07:34
Nice composition and tones.

July 31, 2011 at 21:58
Oh, that lake! I want to BE one of those ducks.
July 31, 2011 at 23:59
it is strange for sure how they can stand on one leg like that.
August 1, 2011 at 00:41
I’m pretty sure if I tried that move, I’d be in the water!
August 1, 2011 at 01:57
The “balance” of nature seems to be something animals learn much better than humans.
August 1, 2011 at 04:11
So true! They teach us lil things that we somehow seem to miss… so very beautifully…
August 1, 2011 at 12:35
Indeed.
Sounds like good advice.
August 1, 2011 at 15:25
