I’m British, so of course, I like to talk about the weather! After all, what can be more fickle (apart from politicians)?
Since I moved to Sweden 13 years ago, I’ve had to get used to sights like this one…
Are you sure you can bear it? Oh – the snow, the ice, the bone-chilling cold…
…..
…..
…..
However, if you can dance on the ice, then you can triumph over the cold!
And then, in really chilly weather, you might come across this…
…..
…..
If you’re squeamish, please close your eyes now!
…. Are your eyes averted?
…..
That’s right – frosted hair! (My neighbour usually has lovely brown hair.)
Why is she smiling?
Well, it might just have something to do with views like this!
I’m not sure I can bear anymore though…
….
…..
So much cold beauty to enjoy!

I was going to say, well, that’s Scandinavia for you, but this is happening in Portugal as well, all across the States, even in the south.
Ball shrinking cold. Can’t afford to fart in weather like this – you don’t want to let out any warm air.

I never knew that hair can freeze. I hope it won’t be brittle so as to break. Anyway, despite your chilling experience the views are mesmerizing. 🙂

I like the frosted hair! I’m sure it’s frigid, but the skating and lovely views are worth braving the cold.

What a fun post! I love it! I also love Wolynski’s comment, nearly sprayed my screen, too! What a hoot! It does look cold! It looked like that here last year and this year, while it is damp and gray the temps are the upper 40s and low 50s. Who knows what next year will be.
Love all your photos and I do love your humor! Have a great day and stay warm!!!

Home run! Funny — beautiful — and a lesson in there somewhere. But d*m it’s hard to find winter beauty after days of gray and rain. I;ve thought about posting a big blank screen for skywatch or that’s my world ;>)

I’ve had ice in my lashes tears frozen on my face but have never had my hair frosted other than the highlights at the salon. It was -10 Sunday morn in the Ozarks but we have warmed up to freezing. Heatwave!!!

What incredible photos of winter. I remember the first time my hair froze in Vermont. I’ve gotten used to it now but the first time was definitely different. Enjoy your marvelous, cold winter.

I expect people in Sweden are well prepared for the snow and that the country doesn’t come to a standstill like it does in England when get the first sprinkling.
Lovely pictures. Love the frosted hair!
